Homages Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.

Over a fortnight after the tragic deaths of renowned film director Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones are still paying respects to the pair.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Writing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, explained he just recently felt able to post publicly about his profound loss.

"Sufficient time has passed that I can at last articulate my loss into words," posted Elwes, noting that his initial encounter with Reiner left him smitten. "As we began spending more time together I realized this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor posted archival material from the movie, remarking that he doesn't recollect "any day without mirth".

"The movie is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Things that Rob held dear. That is part of the many reasons he was the ideal person to helm it," Elwes wrote.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, saying: "To say that they were a incredible duo would be an oversimplification. My heart still pangs every time I recall you." He ended with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Colleague and Comrade

In a different tribute, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the lead role.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked seamlessly with his co-stars, and he understood the human predicament of his character," Scorsese added.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Sealed

Recently, a Los Angeles judge decided to bar the disclosure of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, at the request from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A legal directive issued a embargo on the files to limit the public release of "any investigative information, notes, reports or photos" connected to the probe.

The Medical Examiner's office had previously confirmed their deaths were the result of foul play, with a official listing citing the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Fallout and Commentary

After the tragedy, public individuals offered divergent reactions.

Ex-President Donald Trump commented on the matter, making provocative remarks that were broadly criticized by several public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his voice to the those speaking out recently. Speaking on his program, Rogan described the statements as "disturbing" and remarked they demonstrated a troubling absence of compassion.

Rogan ended by remarking that an adviser could have acted when the choice to speak on the passing was made.
